This picture was taken at MARS300 in New York City, December 7th, 2011 when a kind man unexpectedly gifted a couple of my friends & I with 3 golden tickets. That night I made new friends whom I dearly love and needless to say, the entire night was a treasure, one I’ll always remember.
God gave me one of the greatest gifts of my life when He brought me Mars. When I think of that night in NYC, I find myself reflecting on how my life’s been changed over the years by these men. Through them I’ve found an irreplaceable family—somewhere I belong, am loved & understood.
Beyond that, I have seen example after example of the impossible becoming reality through Jared, Tomo, Shannon, other Echelon and also in my own life. All this I would have never experienced if weren’t for the Mars community & God’s gracious hand.
It’s astounding, I didn’t ask for them but He knew what I needed. So today I proudly & gratefully count them as one of God’s greatest blessings.
If you’re part of this amazing, weird, beautiful family, then hear me when I say: I LOVE YOU. Thank you for everything and don’t be a stranger. We’re here for each other and the fact you’re reading this isn’t a coincidence. You’ve made a life-altering difference to me, one that I will will never be able to repay, so all I can do is say thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I love you all.
Reblogging because I nearly shat myself when the song started.

Spent the evening with this ol’ boy. Played some old tunes, explored some new ones—we had a good time, him & I.
We’re all architects of our own private hell, no one can hurt us like we hurt ourselves.
– Bones, Young GunsI was listening to Cemetery Weather by Isles & Glaciers as I fell through Tumblr and saw this. Exquisite timing for a gorgeous photograph, I’ll tell ya.

Been in a strange detox period of my life over the past several months. I’m getting rid of things that don’t need to hang around, whether they’re emotional, physical, mental, spiritual…you get the idea. It’s become refreshing on one hand and inanely frustrating on the other. Only God knows where this is leading me, and regardless how it feels, I know I’m not alone; prayers and hugs are immensely appreciated.
